The Democratic Party of Romanians in Belgium (PDRB) is based on a clear set of values and objectives intended to provide Romanians in the diaspora with a political framework in which they can find themselves, be correctly represented and actively participate in the public life of the country in which they live.
At the heart of our action is unity – not just as a symbol, but as an everyday reality. We want a solidary Romanian community, capable of transforming its diversity into a common force. We want Romanians in Belgium, regardless of age, social status or region, to feel part of a collective, democratic and open project.
We believe in justice and social equity. We will promote policies that guarantee equal access to opportunities, services and representation. We will support initiatives that protect the rights of Romanian workers, families, children and seniors established in Belgium.
PDRB assumes transparency as a basic principle. We want every decision, initiative or action of the party to be clear, justified and in the service of the community. We oppose unnecessary bureaucracy, lack of accountability and empty promises.
Another pillar is civic involvement. Our objective is to encourage the active participation of Romanians in democratic processes in Belgium, to train local leaders and to develop projects that bring the administration closer to the people.
We support Romanian traditions and identity, but in an open, adaptable and European spirit. Our culture is a resource, not a barrier. We believe that Romanian values can enrich the Belgian civic space and can be promoted with dignity.
In the short term, we aim to:
• consolidate the party structure in cities with a significant Romanian population;
• prepare a list of competent candidates for local elections;
• initiate constant dialogues with Belgian authorities and local organizations;
• offer concrete support to the community in administrative, educational or social issues.
In the long term, our objective is clear: a united and respected diaspora, truly represented in the Belgian public administration, active, informed and supportive.
